Brimstone Hotel is located on the 35 acre Langdale Estate, which is home to the 4 star Langdale Hotel and the Langdale Timeshare.

The site was once a mill, then a gunpowder factory established to service the local slate quarrying industry becoming a low key holiday operation on the closure of the gunpowder works in the 1920s. The 1980s saw the development of the site as a timeshare resort with hotel accommodation.

The Langdale Estate is home to some of the best leisure facilities in the area including swimming pool, gym, sauna, hot tub and tennis court all of which are available for use by guests staying at Brimstone Hotel.
