General
- Admittance is permitted only during advertised opening hours, within the valid terms of membership, and always at the discretion of Brimstone Spa staff.
- All members are required to book their visit in advance. Brimstone Spa reserves the right to limit availability and refuse access where advance reservations have not been made.
- Each member must present proof of membership on every visit before entering the facilities. Members attending without proof of membership may be asked to provide identification.
- Guests staying on the Langdale Estate must provide their name and accommodation details on each visit to access the facilities.
- Last entry to Brimstone Spa facilities is 45 minutes before closing.
- Members and guests are respectfully requested to leave the facilities 5 minutes before closing and vacate the premises promptly at closing time.
- Pets are not permitted on the premises, with the exception of registered assistance dogs.
- Unauthorised parking is not permitted on the premises.
- Photography and filming are permitted only with prior approval from Brimstone Spa management and must not infringe upon the privacy of other guests, members or staff.
- Brimstone Spa reserves the right to refuse admission to the spa or its premises at its discretion.
- Mobile telephones, tablets and other electronic devices must be kept on silent mode whilst within the spa to preserve the peaceful environment for all guests.
- Members and guests are expected to behave responsibly and sensibly at all times and comply with all reasonable requests made by Brimstone Spa staff.
Privacy and Confidentiality
- The privacy, dignity and confidentiality of all members, guests and visitors must be respected at all times.
- Members and guests must not disclose, discuss, photograph, film or share information regarding other users of Brimstone Spa without their consent.
- Particular care must be taken to respect the privacy of high-profile individuals, public figures and guests seeking a private and discreet environment.
- Any photography, filming or social media content must not include other members, guests or staff without their express permission.
- Brimstone Spa reserves the right to remove any individual whose actions compromise the privacy, comfort, safety or confidentiality of others.
Behaviour and Dress
- Members and guests must conduct themselves in a courteous, respectful and considerate manner at all times.
- Members, guests and Brimstone Spa staff should treat one another with mutual respect.
- Suitable swimwear, gym attire and footwear must be worn in designated areas.
- Members and guests are asked to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.
- Smoking, vaping and the consumption of alcohol are not permitted within Brimstone Spa facilities unless within designated licensed areas.
- Any complaints should be communicated privately to the management team or submitted in writing to the Spa Manager.
- Brimstone Spa operates a zero-tolerance policy towards abusive, threatening, discriminatory, intimidating or inappropriate behaviour directed at staff, members or guests.
Pool and Thermal Experiences
- Members and guests must shower before entering the pool, spa pool or any thermal experience.
- Food, drink and glassware are not permitted in the changing rooms or pool area.
- Shaving is not permitted within the thermal experience areas.
- Use of thermal experiences should be limited to a maximum of 8 to 12 minutes at any one time.
- Poolside capacity is limited to 12 persons. Access may be restricted during busy periods.
- Brimstone Spa reserves the right to limit pool use during peak periods.
- Brimstone Spa reserves the right to close the pool or thermal experiences at any time for hygiene, safety, operational or maintenance reasons.
- Use of spa facilities is not recommended after consuming alcohol or immediately following a substantial meal.
- Anyone with a heart condition, high blood pressure, asthma, who is pregnant, or who has any medical concerns should seek appropriate medical advice before using thermal experiences.
- To ensure a peaceful and relaxing environment, jumping, diving, splashing and excessive noise are not permitted in or around the pool and thermal experience areas.
- Brimstone Spa recommends limiting total use of thermal experiences to no more than three hours during any one visit.
Spa Facilities
- Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn where applicable.
- Admission is at the discretion of the Brimstone Spa team.
- Brimstone Spa reserves the right to ask any individual to leave if their behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, inappropriate or contrary to these Terms and Conditions.
Age Restrictions
- Brimstone Spa is an adult-only environment.
- Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to access or use Brimstone Spa facilities unless otherwise stated as part of a specific programme, event or promotion.
Food and Drink
- Food, drink and glassware must not be consumed, stored or brought into thermal and poolside areas.
- Water may be consumed in designated areas and from approved containers provided by Brimstone Spa.
- Only food and beverages purchased from Brimstone Deli may be consumed on Brimstone Spa premises unless otherwise authorised by management.
Health and Medical Conditions
- Members and guests are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to use Brimstone Spa facilities.
- Any medical condition that may affect the safe use of the facilities should be disclosed to a member of the Brimstone Spa team prior to use.
- Brimstone Spa reserves the right to refuse access where use of the facilities may pose a risk to the individual or others.
- Brimstone Spa is not qualified to determine whether an individual is medically fit to use the facilities. Members and guests should seek professional medical advice before using the facilities if they have any concerns regarding their health or fitness to participate.
- Members and guests must not use the facilities whilst under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs.
Membership
- Membership may be paid annually or by monthly Direct Debit.
- Membership cancellation must be submitted in writing with a minimum of 14 days’ notice.
- A membership card will be issued upon joining and remains the property of Brimstone Spa.
- Members must present proof of membership upon each visit before entering the facilities.
- Replacement membership cards may be subject to an administration charge.
Membership Freezes
- Membership freezes are available to Direct Debit members only.
- Memberships may be frozen due to serious illness, injury, hospitalisation, maternity leave or extended travel.
- Freezes must be for a minimum of one calendar month and a maximum of three calendar months unless otherwise agreed by management.
- Requests must be submitted in writing at least 15 days before the proposed freeze date.
- Approval of membership freezes is at the sole discretion of Brimstone Spa.
Membership Suspension
- Brimstone Spa reserves the right to suspend access to all or part of the facilities due to maintenance, refurbishment, repairs, events, operational requirements or unforeseen circumstances.
- Annual memberships may be extended by a period equivalent to any significant closure, where deemed appropriate.
- Direct Debit payments may be adjusted accordingly at the discretion of management.
Membership Termination and Revocation
- Brimstone Spa reserves the right to suspend, terminate, revoke or refuse renewal of any membership where a member’s conduct is deemed inappropriate, unacceptable or contrary to the interests of the business, staff, members or guests.
- This includes, but is not limited to:
- Abusive, aggressive, threatening or intimidating behaviour.
- Harassment of staff, members or guests.
- Repeated breaches of these Terms and Conditions.
- Failure to follow reasonable instructions issued by Brimstone Spa staff.
- Behaviour that adversely affects the safety, wellbeing, enjoyment or reputation of Brimstone Spa.
- Brimstone Spa may issue a verbal or written warning before suspension or termination where appropriate.
- In cases of serious misconduct, membership may be terminated immediately without prior warning.
- Any decision to revoke or suspend membership shall be final.
- Members whose membership is terminated may not be entitled to a refund of membership fees already paid, except where required by law.
- Brimstone Spa reserves the right to refuse any application for membership or the renewal of any membership at its sole discretion.
Guests
- Members may bring up to three guests per visit upon payment of the prevailing guest fee.
- All guests must comply with these Terms and Conditions and any instructions issued by Brimstone Spa staff.
- Members are responsible for the conduct and behaviour of their guests while on the premises.
Appointments and Cancellations
- Therapy and treatment appointments must be cancelled or amended with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.
- Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, missed appointments, or arrivals more than 10 minutes late may be charged in full.
- Brimstone Spa will use reasonable endeavours to resell cancelled appointments and, where successful, charges may be waived at management discretion.
- Late arrival may result in treatment time being reduced to avoid delaying subsequent appointments.
Payments
- All charges incurred during a visit must be settled in full before departure.
- Brimstone Spa reserves the right to suspend access to facilities or services where outstanding balances remain unpaid.
Lockers and Personal Property
- Members and guests should use the lockers provided to secure personal belongings.
- All personal belongings are left at the owner’s risk.
- Lockers are available for use only while the member or guest is using the facilities.
- Brimstone Spa accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
- Members and guests are required to store personal belongings in the lockers provided whilst using the spa facilities.
- Valuables should not be left unattended at any time. Brimstone Spa accepts no responsibility for items left unattended within the spa, changing rooms, lockers, vehicles or car park areas.
Lost Property
- Lost property will be retained at Brimstone Spa Reception for up to three months.
- Items not collected within this period may be donated to charity, recycled or responsibly disposed of.
Maintenance and Closure
- The safety of members, guests and staff is a priority. Brimstone Spa reserves the right to close all or part of the facilities for maintenance, repairs, staff training, health and safety reasons or operational requirements.
- Weekly fire alarm testing may take place and is currently scheduled between 2:00pm and 3:00pm on Wednesdays, although this may be subject to change.
- Weekly and monthly activities may take place within spa facilities. Members and guests are advised to check the latest timetable before visiting to avoid disappointment.
- Opening hours may vary on public holidays, during exclusive events, maintenance periods or due to unforeseen operational requirements.
Fire and Emergency Procedures
- Upon hearing a fire alarm or emergency evacuation announcement, members and guests must immediately make their way to the nearest emergency exit.
- Members and guests must follow all instructions provided by Brimstone Spa staff and emergency services personnel.
- The building must not be re-entered until authorised by Brimstone Spa management or emergency services.
Data Protection and Privacy
- Brimstone Spa processes personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Personal data may be collected and used for membership administration, bookings, payments, health and safety, and communication regarding Brimstone Spa services and facilities.
- Personal information will be stored securely and only shared where necessary for the operation of services or where required by law.
- Members have the right to access, correct, restrict or request deletion of their personal data, subject to legal requirements.
- CCTV may be in operation for security, safety and crime prevention purposes.

Liability
- Members and guests are advised to seek appropriate medical advice before using Brimstone Spa facilities.
- Some spa activities may be physically demanding and carry inherent risks. Participation in all activities is undertaken at the individual’s own risk, except where injury, loss or damage results from Brimstone Spa’s negligence or breach of legal duty.
- Members and guests are responsible for using facilities, equipment and services safely, sensibly and in accordance with any instructions provided.
- Members and guests must follow all health and safety notices, signage and instructions issued by Brimstone Spa staff.
- Brimstone Spa shall not be liable for theft, loss, damage or destruction of personal property except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
- Members and guests use all facilities at their own risk.
Amendments to Terms and Conditions
Brimstone Spa reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, membership rules, facility regulations, operating procedures, opening hours, pricing and service provisions at any time. Notice of any significant changes will be displayed within Brimstone Spa and communicated through appropriate channels where necessary.
Continued use of the facilities constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms and Conditions.
In the event of any dispute arising from the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, the decision of Brimstone Spa Management shall be final.
